Here are two different way to decorate your cupcake giftboxes:

2. Pinch the square into a triangle and hold until the glue dries.

DIY Notebook

1 - Decorative Wrapping Paper Notebook - Supplies

Ready to make your own notebook?

What you'll need:

- Decorative Paper Wrap
- Cardstock ( you can use normal paper but cardstock is more durable)
- Scissors/x-acto knife
- Glue/spray adhesive
- Hole punch
- Twine or thread (thread is thinner so might not hold as well)

How to do it:

1. Begin by cutting all your paper to size.  For the smallest notebook, I cut the cardstock and decorative gift wrap, which will both serve as the cover, 5.5"x7.5".  The pages I cut to 5"x7".  In all, I fit about 12 sheets of paper in (which translates to about 24 pages once folded in half).

2. Attach the decorative paper to the cardstock using glue or spray adhesive.

3. Fold both the pages and the cover in half lengthwise.  To get a clean fold, I scored mine first using the back side of my xacto knife.

4. On the fold, punch two holes about a half an inch from the top and bottom of the pages and about 3/4 of an inch from the top and bottom of the cover.   Just make sure the holes for the cover and the pages line up.

5. Now bind the two together using a piece of twine.  Tie off on the inside of the notebook and trim.

5. Fold on the newly scored lines.
6. Add a piece of double-sided tape to the small tab.
7. Connect it with the other side of the house, as seen above.
8. Fold the bottom flaps in and use double-sided tape to hold it closed.
9. Add a piece of tape to the backside of the wreath and stick it in place.
10. Fill the box with a few small treats or a small gift. Add one more piece of tape to the top flaps and pinch the roof closed.

No sew fringe T-shirt tote bag

No sew fringe T-shirt tote bag:

What you'll need:

- A big adult T-shirt ( If you use a small T-shirt you will end up with a very small handbag)
- Scissors

How to do it:

  1. Lay your tshirt flat, cut off the neck band, the bottom seam and the sleeves
  2. Cut from the bottom up about 5″-8″ long, 3/4″ wide strips all the way across the width of the shirt (cut depending on the variation of fringe you want
  3. Pull each of the strips down to turn them into little noodle looking things
  4. Tie the matching front and back strips together in double knots. Tie all.
  5. Now you want to cut the neck hole of the shirt into a deeper scoop.
  6. Cut the top of the shoulders so that you now have 4 straps to work with.
  7. Tie the left front shoulder to the right front shoulder. Do the same for the back.
  8. You now have a tote bag! Make any additional cuts or changes to the scoop of the “neck” until you are satisfied with the look of your bag.

  2. Half the raspberries and chop chocolate into large chunks.
  3. Sift flour and baking powder into large bowl. Stir sugar into flour mixture.

  5. In separate bowl crack the egg, whisk in the vanilla extract, milk and melted butter. Stir the liquid mixture into the dry mixture.
  6. Fold in raspberries and white chocolate (Using a metal spoon is best as this avoids most damage to raspberries.) Be careful not to be too rough, as raspberries will be easily damaged.
  7. Cook for approx. 30 minute or until muffins are risen and firm. Enjoy best warm, but careful for hot chocolate!!

Pancake Pops

Here is the delicious recipe for pancake pops:

What you'll need:

Makes about 20 bite size pancakes

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt
1/2 cup of fat-free plain greek yogurt
1-2 tablespoons of milk, depending on the thickness of the yogurt you use
2 tablespoons of melted and cooled butter
1 egg, lightly beaten

How to do it:

1. Start by melting your butter, preheating your electric non-stick griddle, and having your lollipop sticks handy.

2. Add flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and kosher salt to a large bowl and whisk together. Then add non-fat plain greek yogurt, melted and cooled butter, egg, and milk. Stir just until combined. You will have a very thick and creamy pancake batter.

3. Scoop out a heaping teaspoon of pancake batter.

4. Drop the pancake batter onto the hot griddle. Give the pancake about a minute to set up on the griddle side so the lollipop stick won’t go all the way through, then place the lollipop stick in the batter just shy of the top of the pancake. Press stick down and use your spoon to smooth out the valley in the batter, that way you will have pancakes that look perfect on both sides!

5. Space the rest of the pancake pops out, so you have room to add the sticks.

6. They cook really quickly since they are so small. About 4-5 minutes on the first side, and around 3 minutes on the second side. Once the edges start to dry out, they are ready to turn.

7. To flip the pancake pops use a small spatula to lift them up a bit, then you can use the lollipop stick to give them a quick turn. The lollipop stick was warm, but it wasn’t too hot to handle. Just be careful not to touch the griddle!

A hot and delicious perfectly cooked pancake pop.
